May 6, 2011, SM Mall of ASIA
I had been reading from Andrea Teope's that she misses Razon's Halo Halo for sometime now. And since she's out of the country, there was not way for her to get some.
We were feeling lucky, Bella and I, because those tiny opportunities are within our grasps. We were not lucky of having a job abroad but I guess there are perks in staying in your own country. If you have Halo Halo cravings... you can easily have one. If you want to have sisig or bicol express, heck, there's a weekly special in our office's stores.
At 5:30 pm, we coerced our friend Joenrick (honorary member of the gang) to go with us to SM MOA and eat Razon's famous Halo Halo for the first time. Our expectations were building of course. The minute we went inside, we saw empty tumblers of every table. The people were lingering but it was undeniable that they had their fair share of Razon's special and they were satisfied.
So we ordered 3 Halo-Halo and we got ourselves a table outside the place. As we waited, the long spoons were served and some tissue were provided. In less than 5 minutes... 3 Halo-Halos served and before dabbing in each of our servings, we have to take a picture of that Halo-Halo.
I have 5 observations while I was eating their Halo-Halo.
One. There seems to be less ingredients in their Halo Halo. There was banana minatamis, macapuno and leche flan on top. I was intrigue, I mean... for a special Halo-Halo which costs Php90, could it do the job of impressing my hearty appetite of good food?
Two. When I dug in to its crushed ice... my heart melted... the ice literally melted too, it melted unto its milky goodness. It was a prelude of greater things to come.
Three. The ice was drenched with right amount of milk. Other halo-halo's milk isn't just enough to its serving in some other food chain where you find yourself begging for more milk and when the crew hands you with one, "konti pa din".
Four. The banana was made to its sugary haven and the macapuno bits were oh so good you just can't stop yourself from going over the bottom of the tumbler.
Five. Before you know it... your tumbler is already empty.
Our dessert came first before our dinner. In fact... the dinner came in last because we treated ourselves to 2 hours of swash bucking, heart stopping action of FAST AND FURIOUS Five.
The movie was great especially when you have seen the first four films. Each of the memorable characters in them were brought back as a team in the FAST FIVE. That was the best move made by the producers because the chemistry of each individual or a tandem is there and it brought the film into a whole new level.

Dom Toretto was there of course and Brian O'Conner with Mia Toretto from The Fast and the Furious - 1st Film. But the best part was the rest of the gang namely Rome Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) and Tej Parker (Ludacris) from Too Fast Too Furious - 2nd Film, Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang) from Tokyo Drift - 3rd Film, Tego, Don and that sexy chick Gal from Fast and Furious - 4th Film.
I love the twist where they paired off Pitch Black's biceps with Scopion King's triceps. Dom Doretto VS The Rock? Hahaha! Ang lalaki ng katawan... grabe... BEST FIGHT yun! ^___^ Ang ganda ng GT40, kaya lang they disassembled it... I like the color but what I like most is The Rock's car who could destroy everything in its way. The film was set in Rio de Janeiro. That's why it's called RIO HEIST.
Then it was 10:30pm and we had to have a quick dinner. We missed dinner because the film will start in about 30 seconds after we purchased the tickets. I didn't know that 2D cinema fared higher than Club Cinema. Club costs 185 while 2D Cinema costs Php200. We went to 2D because it will start sooner than Club.
KFC was easy to locate as I ordered a chicken burger and some fries. We went to FX stand where Pilar Bound FX were in line. Then got to my apartment, changed in my pj's and went to sleep dreaming still of Riddick-Scorpion King Fight.
